A splicing block for your cassette looping needs. Built-in tools help you hold the tape in place, and precisely place the splicing tape. Razor included.
Tape looping is annoying. I was surprised I couldn’t find any cassette-specific splicing blocks, given the relative popularity of tape looping, so I set about designing this.
Because these are designed from scratch and 3D printed, I was able to design in holes for 2 little rubber “poker” tools to help with placing the splicing tape. The two rubber parts on top serve to hold the cassette tape in place while cutting and splicing, and conveniently lock the razor blade into it’s slot on the block.
I chose orange because it contrasts nicely with the dark cassette tape.
For the 3D printing nerds out there… the block is printed with PETG and the tools are a stiff TPU.
